Police officers of OB Pljevlja in the period from 15.12.2023. until 15.1.2024. will implement the Firecracker campaign, with the aim of preventing the illegal sale and misuse of pyrotechnics.
The press release states that "the action will be implemented in cooperation with the Pljevlja Border Police Station, other state bodies, local self-government bodies and the NGO sector in the territory of the Pljevlja municipality.
The goal of the action is to protect the health and safety of people and reduce their damage to the material assets of physical and legal entities by preventing the illegal sale and abuse of pyrotechnic devices.
"There will be increased control of persons and means of transport at border crossings, road routes and other public places, with special reference to trade and other shops that will deal with the sale of pyrotechnics, especially with regard to the legality of their sale." The implementation of these activities will be carried out by mixed teams formed by police officers and officials of other state and local self-government bodies. On this occasion, we note that by ORDER of the Minister of Internal Affairs of Montenegro (Official Gazette of Montenegro No. 108/2021 of October 12.10.2021, 45), sale and use is prohibited. Class II pyrotechnic devices - firecrackers. Other class II pyrotechnic products (fountains, Roman candles, rockets, volcanoes, etc.). can, according to Art. 20.12.2023c of the Law on Explosive Substances, to be sold in the period from 15.1.2024/18/XNUMX. until XNUMX. year, only in specialized sales facilities and exclusively for persons over XNUMX years old", states the statement signed by the commander of the Police Station in Pljevlja, Radoje Živković.
The police appealed to citizens to be careful about where they buy pyrotechnics and how they handle them.
