Second Lieutenant of the Army of Montenegro Dijana Grdinić was ceremoniously presented with a medal on the occasion of the successful completion of the officers' course at the prestigious British Royal Military Academy Sandhurst, the Ministry of Defense announced.
According to them, she also received an award for the foreign student who made the most progress during schooling.
The Director General of the Directorate for Human Resources of the Ministry of Defense, Colonel Velibor Bakrač, said that this is another indicator of the successful and substantive cooperation between Montenegro and the United Kingdom in the field of defense.
He pointed out that the education and training of members of the Army of Montenegro, on courses and in educational institutions of the United Kingdom, are extremely important for the improvement of human resources and defense capabilities of the Croatian Armed Forces.
Defense Envoy at the British Embassy, Lt. Col. Anthony Kalunjato, pointed out that Montenegro represents an important partner of the United Kingdom and NATO allies, especially considering the results of past cooperation, commitment and strategic commitment of Montenegro.
"One of the ways in which the United Kingdom contributes to it is by providing education at the prestigious British military academies. Sandhurst Academy is known for teaching leadership skills and its simple motto is ``I serve to lead''. There is an extremely high interest in improving knowledge, skills and competencies at the Sandhurst Academy, and this military institution is considered one of the most competitive and recognized in this field," Kalunjato emphasized.
The Ministry of Defense states that the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst (Royal Military Academy Sandhurst) is a prestigious academy where officers of the British Army are trained. It provides specialized training programs to international participants for a duration of 44 weeks.
