Today, the Assembly of the Association of Montenegrin Lawyers was held at the Faculty of Law of the UCG, as part of the program marking 90 years since the founding of the oldest association of Montenegrin lawyers, the association announced.
As stated, the Assembly of the Association, which consists of 35 members from the ranks of professors, judges, lawyers and other distinguished lawyers, was chaired by Vesna Ratković.
"In addition to the working part and the election of the Association's bodies, the assembly also had a ceremonial part in which the award of the Association "Academician Mijat Šuković" was presented to the full professor of the Faculty of Law, Dr. Nebojša Vučinić, which is awarded once every five years for exceptional contribution to legal science, ethics and culture. . Academician Zoran Rašović, a previous recipient of this prestigious award, explained the selection of candidates on behalf of the Award Committee. In the working part of the Assembly, the election of new bodies of the Association of Lawyers for the next four-year period was carried out," the announcement states.
Branislav Radulović, a university professor, senator of the Serbian Academy of Sciences and editor-in-chief of "Pravni Zbornik", was elected president of the Association of Lawyers. In his address to the Assembly, he thanked for the trust and recalled the establishment, duration and results of the Association from its establishment in 1933 to 2023.
Maja Kostić - Mandić, full professor at the Faculty of Law of UCG, Senka Danilović, judge of the High Court in Podgorica and lawyer Ana Stanković - Mugoša, were elected vice presidents of the Association.
"Gordana Paović - Jeknić, Desanka Lopičić, Vidak Latković, Valentina Pavličić, Vesna Simović - Zvicer, Pavle Radovanović, Miloš Vukčević, Ibrahim Smailović and Ivan Medenica were elected to the new convocation of the Management Board. The Senate of the Association, which is the advisory body of the Association, has 11 The following members were elected: Academician Zoran Rašović, Emilija Durutović, Ivana Jelić, Stanko Marić, Šućko Baković, Đordje Blažić, Anton Markić, Čedomir Bogićević, Borjanka Zogović, Milan Marković and Nebojša Vučinić," the announcement reads.
"Participants of the Assembly were also handed the Bibliography of the "Law Collection" 1933 - 2023, published in support of the jubilee celebration - 90 years since the founding of the Association of Lawyers of Montenegro", it concludes.
