The rehabilitation of the road Maočići - Velimlje in a length of two kilometers has been completed, and the value of the works is around 300 thousand euros. Last year, 8,7 kilometers of the aforementioned road were completed, and the total value of the works is 1,3 million euros.
The presidents of the Municipality and the Municipal Assembly of Nikšić, Marko Kovačević and Nemanja Vuković, along with their associates and the assistant director of the Capital Projects Administration, Maja Delić, toured the road.
The President of the Municipality said that the year 2023, when it comes to infrastructure projects, especially when it comes to road infrastructure in rural areas, will end successfully.
"As for the Banyan trees, we took care of them because in some previous period they were very neglected, we think for no reason. As a local self-government, we have shown that this region needs to take a new path, the path of development", said Kovačević and added that this morning, preparations for the asphalting of several road routes in Nikšićka District began.
Vuković reminded that the funds were provided by the Government through the amendment action of Momo Koprivica, and that on the same basis, the reconstruction of the part of the road between Donji and Gornji Crkvica and the "Dr. Niko Miljanić" clinic in Velimlje was completed this summer.
"In this way, we have better connected Banjane with the city, and the reconstruction of the road from Manitovac to Kusid is also for this purpose. "The municipality of Nikšić has invested a lot of money in the reconstruction and filling of roads, as well as the improvement of the water supply infrastructure, and the conditions for living and staying in this area have significantly improved," said Vuković.
The investor was the Administration for Capital Projects, the contractor was the company AD "Mechanization and Programat", while the supervision was carried out by the Designing and Planning Agency of the Municipality of Nikšić.
"This is another result of the quality cooperation that the Administration for Capital Projects has with the Municipality of Nikšić. The works were done with quality and on time, and the contribution of the Municipality is the preparation of technical documentation and the supervision of the Agency. By repairing the road, this area is further valorized and the living and working conditions of the people in this area are improved," said Delić.
The works included removal of the entire old asphalt and buffer, replacement of the substrate in certain locations, filling of new buffer and installation of asphalt.
