Professional associates of the LGBT Forum Progress from Podgorica and the Polygon for Women's Excellence - Sofia from Beran created a report on the needs of multiple marginalized women with experience of violence.
"Through individual work with women, the foundations were created for a joint report that maps the specific needs of the beneficiaries and offers guidelines and recommendations in order to create an environment that promotes equality and safety for all citizens of Montenegro," announced LGBT Forum Progress.
The work of their counseling centers in Podgorica and Berane, as they state, additionally highlighted the need for different types of help and support, and the services of the psychological, social, psychiatric and legal counseling center represent a comprehensive approach to solving issues related to mental health, social integration and legally guaranteed rights of women. with experience of violence.
"It is important to note that in the period from the first nine months of the implementation of the project, i.e. until the conclusion of work on the publication, a total of 295 beneficiaries, i.e. women with experience of violence, from all three regions of Montenegro, approached the professional associates of our organizations, in a state of need for with a certain type of support and help, which indicates to us the alarming situation in Montenegrin society, i.e. how much violence is actually a deeply rooted social problem that requires comprehensive and continuous interventions," the announcement states.
