New Year's on the square in Podgorica: The festive mood has returned - performances by Knez, "Kino Kultura" and "Senkin's Children"

In Podgorica, the New Year was celebrated on the main city square, and at midnight the audience was introduced by musician Nenad Knežević Knez.

Citizens who were on the square for the Media Biro agency say that they are happy that the festive mood has returned to the capital of Montenegro and that those citizens who do not have money for expensive celebrations, with a glass of mulled wine at the market, welcomed the New Year with their families and to friends.

Knežević said that it is special, but also very demanding, to sing in front of the Podgorica audience, which, he emphasizes, has always been a wind behind his work.

In addition to his own, Knez entertained the audience with other pop-rock domestic hits.

The square was also full during the concerts of the bands "Kino kultura" and "Senkina đeca", and the overture in the evening was DJ Luckydee from Podgorica.

The Tourist Organization (TO) Podgorica told the Media Bureau that they are more than satisfied with the response of the citizens, as well as tourists.

An important part of the New Year's story, they say, are the businessmen in whose houses the visitors enjoyed warm food and drink last night and for almost a month.

Satisfied with the reactions on New Year's Eve, TO announce a replay for January 1.

"The program will start at 20 p.m. with the performance of Tina Džankić and her band. After that, the group Highway will perform, and from 22 p.m. until midnight, maybe a little after midnight, Bane Nedović will warm the atmosphere for all present," she told the Media Bureau. in front of TO Podgorica Ana Jovanović.

She reminds that the Podgorica market is open until January 15, and that citizens, in addition to the main city square, can enjoy the cultural and entertainment program in the Old Town and Preko Morača, on the Square of St. Peter Cetinje.

"This is just a prelude to what's to come. We're already planning a bazaar and other surprises in the spring," Jovanović concluded, congratulating all fellow citizens on the New Year and the upcoming holidays.
