President of the Municipality of Pljevlja Dario Vranes formed a commission that will check the diplomas of all employees in local self-government.

Vranas told "Vijesta" that he will check all the diplomas and that he will forward them to the prosecutor's office if there is a well-founded suspicion that someone is employed with a fake diploma.

"The first thing I did when I was elected president was to raise the issue of fake degrees. However, whatever we do, we do carefully and carefully, especially since we know which structures of the former government we are dealing with. There are legal associates from the municipality, the team has already been formed and we will deal with it seriously", said Vraneš.

He said that they discussed it with the police and the prosecutor's office.

"We talked to people from the prosecution and the police, so that story about fake doplmas has been in circulation for a long time. We will see what the results will be and what will emerge. "I am convinced that the most false marriages will be among people from the ranks of the DPS," Vraneš said.

He also said that he bears great responsibility for the large number of fake diplomas in Montenegro Damir Sehovic, because as the first person in that department he was responsible for the nostrification of diplomas.

"Just as everything was fake, so were those diplomas. The former minister was from the ranks of the Social Democrats, coalition partners of DPS, and as the head of the Ministry of Education, he was responsible for the certification of diplomas," Vraneš said.

He also accused the previous government of keeping silent about fake diplomas for years.

Member of DPS Marko Tošić he said that he supports the examination of all employees' diplomas in the local administration, but believes that an objective body should be formed to deal with the problem.

"The least important thing is who is the initiator, it is important that what is intended is carried out," said Tošić

Tošić believes that in this way other cities will be motivated to start the same process "in order to finally get professional people who will perform their jobs in the best possible way".

"It is sad when we have a doctor, engineer, lawyer or economist who graduated from a recognized university within the regular time frame with good grades, that he does not work while someone else works and has a good salary with a dubious degree," said Tošić.

He believes that the initiation of diploma verification would contribute to the reduction of potential fraud in the coming period.
