Houses and properties on the territory of Podgorica are not in danger, and the active fires in Radovče and Trmanje have been brought under control.
Director of the Directorate for Emergency Situations Mirsad Mulić, director of operational affairs Radomir Šćepanović, commander of the Capital City Protection Service Andrija Čađenović and commander of the fire rescue unit Lazar Čađenović visited the area of the Jagoda watchtower, the area of Trmanje and Radovče, which have been affected by large fires in recent days.
Teams of firefighters have been protecting houses and cottages in this area from the elements of fire around the clock for three days.
Three fire brigades were engaged in extinguishing the fire, and two airplanes of the Directorate were also helping.
During the tour of the fire site, the representatives of the Directorate and the Protection Service noted that the joint action of firefighters, the army and aircraft from the Directorate was "very well planned".
In Radovča, they talked with the locals, whose buildings were threatened and thanked them for the help they provided in putting out the fire, and they also visited the firefighters and members of the army who are still deployed in critical locations.
In the previous days, houses were also threatened in this location.
Today, the biggest fires in the territory of Cetinje were burning above Bajice and towards Lovćen, and new ones also broke out in Bukovica and the territory of the Lovćen National Park.
Fires have been active for days from Čekanja towards Ćeklići, near Trešnjevo, as well as in Građani.
The Capital City of Cetinje appealed to citizens not to light fires outdoors, and to take into account the weather and all other circumstances that affect the occurrence and spread of fires.
"Members of the Protection Service, who, in extreme conditions, have been making superhuman efforts for over a month to protect the territory of the capital from the fire, which was definitely caused by the human factor, have been joined by colleagues from the municipalities of Budva and Kotor from today," the capital announced.
Cetinje firefighters have been fighting numerous fires for more than a month, whose extinguishing was made difficult by high temperatures, strong wind and inaccessible terrain. Therefore, the city administration appealed to all citizens, who are able, to help the members of the Protection Service in order to put out the fires.
The fire broke out today after 12 noon in the town of Ćurke in the hinterland of Velika plaža in Ulcinj, and after two and a half hours it was brought under control.
Due to the wind, there is a danger that the fire will spread to the nearby forest and threaten the surrounding households, which is why 12 firefighters with four vehicles are on the ground.
