The seismology sector of the Institute for Hydrometeorology and Seismology registered a moderate earthquake with an epicenter 17 km southwest of Elbasan in Albania at 31 minutes after midnight.
As announced by the Department of Seismology of the Institute for Hydrometeorology and Seismology, the intensity of the earthquake at the epicenter was 4.6 on the Richter scale.
The epicenter of the earthquake was located at a depth of 10 km.
It was also announced that the earthquake could have caused minor material damage in the epicentral area.
