It is unacceptable that the representatives of the Capital partially apply the current legal regulations, in order to protect the interests of the institution they represent, and who knows how many times to the direct detriment of Zeta, said Bojan Popović, a member of the board "Za spas Zeta" in open letters to the Prime Minister of Montenegro Milojko Spajić and the President of Montenegro, Jakov Milatović.
"This is how I want to address you in front of the 'Za spas Zeta' committee", which in the past period crystallized as a body that represents and protects the interests of the Zeta people. I'm sure you remember the activities of this committee from the summer of 2022, where together with the citizens of Zeta, we limited a series of activities that were mainly reflected in protests and road blockades, in order to draw the attention of decision-makers to the disagreement, to put it mildly, regarding the proposal of the then 'Zeta laws' '. Despite this, the proposed amendments to the law were adopted on August 17.08.2022, XNUMX. after midnight, and you saw the disappointment and dissatisfaction of the citizens of Zeta live that evening," Popović pointed out in his letters to Spajić and Milatović.
He added that the umbrella "Zeta law" – the Law on Territorial Organization, or rather the adopted amendments to this law, made Zeta independent as a municipality, and defined the territorial scope of the new municipality, as well as certain administrative details.
"Acknowledging the fact that Montenegro is defined by the Constitution as a civil, democratic, ecological and social justice state, based on governmental rights, it is unacceptable that the representatives of the Capital City partially apply the current legal regulations, in order to protect the interests of the institution they represent, and for who knows which way to the direct detriment of Zeta. Taking into account the importance of the issue of demarcation for the further functioning and existence of the Municipality of Zeta, and respecting the support you have previously shown to the citizens of Zeta, we express our great desire to talk with you, and through a constructive dialogue to explain in more detail the current situation in which citizens of Zeta are located," said Popović.
He told Spajić and Milatović to be free to propose a date for the meeting.
