The Ministry of Defense and the Army of Montenegro (MCG) will continue to invest in the education and training of military personnel, said Defense Minister Dragan Krapović, adding that he is happy when women in the MCG achieve exceptional results.
The Ministry of Defense announced that Krapović met with the deputy commander of the 1st Subcenter at the Training Center in Danilovgrad, Lieutenant Dijana Grdinić, on the occasion of the exceptional results she achieved at the officers' course in the United Kingdom (UK).
"We must all be proud when members of our Army, which is a small system, make it recognized and appreciated in professional circles abroad," said Krapović.
Congratulating Grdinić, he said that the Ministry of Defense and the Croatian Ministry of Defense will continue to invest in the education and training of military personnel.
As stated in the announcement, Krapović said that he is especially pleased when women in the Croatian Voivodeship achieve exceptional results.
"I am extremely proud when members of the Croatian Armed Forces or our cadets, during courses or studies at foreign military academies, stand out with their work, commitment and results," Krapović said.
Grdinić pointed out that this recognition means a lot to her as an incentive for further professional development and advancement.
The Ministry explained that Grdinić participated in the officers' course, which lasted 44 weeks, at the prestigious British Royal Military Academy Sandhurst in Camberley.
According to reports, she stood out so much that she was recognized as the foreign student with the most progress.
"Grdinić has only been wearing the uniform of the Croatian Army for three years, and she graduated from the Faculty of Law of the University of Montenegro, majoring in security and criminal studies," explained the Ministry.
The officer course at Sandharst Military Academy, which has a tradition of more than two centuries, includes theoretical and practical military knowledge.
"From navigation, fire and training in the use of communication devices, to knowledge in the field of decision-making and command," explained the Ministry, adding that the law of armed conflicts and international relations are also studied at the course.
As it is stated, part of the training is related to the field according to the scenarios of simulated situations, which also include marches of 70 km in full combat equipment.
"The crown of the course is a large exercise held in Germany, where the acquired knowledge is tested," the Ministry announced.
