How developers design affordable digital products that are adaptable to the different needs of all of us is the topic of the first one this year Infinum Talks, which will be held on February 5 at 18 p.m., at the CUE hotel in Podgorica.
Infinum Talks will be an opportunity for him to share his personal experiences with the participants Marina Vujacic who for many years has been recognized as an activist for human rights, especially the rights of people with disabilities and women.
Vujacic believes that digital accessibility for people with disabilities in Montenegro is not at an adequate level and that major improvements are needed.
"Users' experiences say that in Montenegro, when creating and developing websites, applications, electronic services and the like, there are rare examples of following E-accessibility standards, so in that sense not all possible formats are used that ensure various options and the possibility of user choice (audio format, enlarged format, contrast, adequate spacing, simple language, etc.) and which would ensure accessibility for different users, that is, respect the diversity of the human race", says Vujačić.
Events like Infinum Talks are an important contribution to improvements.
"Digital accessibility for people with disabilities could nowadays be equated with general information, access to services and goods, the right to education and development, work, acquisition of competences, exchange of experiences and many other important life issues. And to begin with, putting this topic in the focus of the event can have a positive effect and in that way promote one of the neglected rights of people with disabilities, because it is not about some unattainable luxury or something that can wait," Vujačić says.
The team leader of software testing will talk about how Infinum is dedicated to digital accessibility Stella Cvijanović which, through its five years of experience, developed numerous projects with a focus on inclusivity and adaptability of applications.
The lead iOS engineer will share his overview of the development of mobile application accessibility and the challenges they face in the implementation of programming and design solutions with the participants. Nikola Majcen.
Software tester Tihana Brnardic will provide insight into this topic from the perspective of web and mobile application testing. She will talk about the importance of customer support and the space for additional development.
