Board of directors: Jokić never respected us or respected the conclusions of the sessions, admitted that he violated the statute

The board of directors of the Podgorica Health Center announced today that the former director of that health facility, Danilo Jokić, never respected them or respected the conclusions of the sessions.

They also said that there are public records in which Jokić himself admitted that he violated the statute when bypassing the board during the preparation of the financial plan, which, they added, is, to put it mildly, unheard of in these areas.

The board of directors reacted to Jokić's statement in which he addressed the Minister of Health, Vojislav Šimun, who dismissed him from his post today.

In that announcement, Jokić said that he had the misfortune that the Board of Directors of the Health Center included people who were first directors, and only then colleagues-healthcare workers, and that he would leave the Health Center to his successor without debt, but as he added, "unfortunately, the same Board managers, people who want to trample a man when they don't already have the knowledge to help him".

"The Board of Directors, first of all, consists of seven doctors, elected according to the Law, with clear powers, according to the Law on Health Care and according to the regulations of the Health Center Statute. According to these regulations - the director is responsible for his work to the Board of Directors and the Ministry of Health. that the former director called 'directors first' and that it was our 'unfortunate', speaks in favor of his attitude towards the Body that has a supervisory and control function in the Institution. It is no secret that from the beginning he did not respect us or respect the conclusions from the sessions, because we worked according to the authorizations and we were never silent observers of the process in the Institution. Precisely because we understand the process of work and functioning of the institution (a certain number of members have been employed precisely in the Health Center for years), out of the desire to transparently and responsibly perform the supervisory function, called we are a 'Board of Directors... who want to trample a person when they don't have the knowledge to help.'

They added that most of the members of the Board were slandered in the relevant Ministry, all three convocations, and that they were labeled as only wanting to take advantage of themselves financially, "which even now, after the dismissal, the former director mentions again as the only reason".

"In addition to the fact that this is the only board in the country that has not been paid for more than a year, it has not stopped working, contributing and performing its duties as professionally as possible. Even at one time, through the party to which it belongs and certain portals, the now former director tried to trivialize the work Board. Why? Because we asked him to submit to us the results of his work as director - regular annual reports on the work of the Institution? Because we asked why and how massive overtime hours are distributed to individuals? There are public records in which he himself admitted that he violated statute when bypassing the board during the preparation of the financial plan, which is, to put it mildly, unheard of in these areas. Every proposal and consideration of the board related to the functioning of individual segments was belittled and it got away with him for three years. For a year and a half, the proposal for his dismissal has been pending shelves of the Ministry," said the Board of Directors of the Podgorica Health Center.

They stated that they will not argue with the former director, because as they add, they have done and shown enough in three years.

"His successor does not leave 'managers', but professionals and colleagues, who work in accordance with the Law and the Statute, while they have the trust of the competent authorities. The capital's health center is an extremely important health institution for Podgorica and the whole of Montenegro and deserves only professionals in every We hope that the respected former director will end the labeling and persecution of board members, both personally and through the party, because otherwise we will be forced to seek help from the competent institutions of the system," concludes the statement of the Board of Directors of the Podgorica Health Center.
