The head of the Skadar Lake National Park Protection Service, Vuk Saičić, filed a report against Filip Klikovac because of the threats he made and because, as he claims, that monk threw his phone into the water.
"The application has been filed, I will file more private lawsuits because it was said that I was probably in a drugged state... And I will file that private lawsuit," Saičić said.
He said that the night before last they found two people who were fishing illegally.
"My primary goal from the very beginning is to stop electrofishing. We have done our official work very professionally. And we are appalled that for the fourth time in the last year someone has come and attacked bare-handed lake protection officers. Me and a colleague were physically attacked , what happened was that I was saved by the fact that I had six layers of clothing on. We were united in this situation. I would like to emphasize that we saw a larger amount of fish in their vessel," Saičić said at the press conference regarding the attack on him and of his colleague Marko Gluščević, which happened the night before last.
On the occasion of the announcement of the Kom monastery, Saičić said that he is an Orthodox believer and that the Protection Service donated all the seized fish to soup kitchens.
"The phone was not found and we asked the police to find the GPS location. My colleague and I are ready to go to the polygraph immediately. Last night we were looking for the phone until three or four in the morning. And when my phone is unlocked, there will be some more data that they are not known until now," Saičić said at a press conference where the Director of the Public Enterprise for National Parks of Montenegro (JPNPCG) Vladimir Martinović also spoke.
Saičić said that the monk Filip Klikovac is related to one of the arrested - Vojin Prenkić.
"What was he doing in the late evening hours on Lake Skadar", said Saičić and showed a picture of Filip Klikovac and Prenkić.
Yesterday afternoon, on suspicion of having attacked and slightly injured Saičić and Gluščević two nights ago, the police officers arrested Vojin Prenkić (31) and Dušan Klikovac (42).
The prosecutor qualified their actions as an attack on an official in the performance of official duties and illegal hunting.
At the same time, he assessed that there were no elements of a criminal offense in the actions of the monk of the Kom monastery, who, according to Saičić, insulted the supervisors, threatened them, and then stole the phone he used to record him and threw it into the lake.
The Kom monastery denied those claims, stressing that the monk had no physical contact with anyone, nor did he insult anyone, "but his presence contributed to the end of this incident"...
Prenkić and Dušan Klikovac were detained for up to 72 hours today after the hearing at the Basic Prosecutor's Office in Podgorica. They denied committing the crimes of assault on an official in the performance of official duties and illegal hunting.
