The youngest Montenegrin municipality, Zeta, celebrates the Municipality Day on February 8.

Milatović: Make a full contribution to the prosperity of the municipality

The President of Montenegro, Jakov Milatović, congratulated the President of the Municipality of Zeta, Mihailo Asanović, the President of the Municipal Assembly, Nebojša Domazetović, the councilors and residents of Zeta on the Day of the Municipality of Zeta.

"On the foundations of the famous state of Zeta, the youngest Montenegrin municipality was created, which is a symbol of the centuries-old duration of our statehood in this area. The solemn moments in which we celebrate the Day of the Municipality of Zeta are an opportunity to emphasize the importance of having a clear vision of the development of your municipality, so that in the years to come witnessed the creation of an environment in which Zeta will be a quality place for the life of all its residents," said Milatović.

He adds that the successful valorization of the natural and tourist potential of the municipality of Zeta, through the implementation of key investment projects and the improvement of the existing infrastructure, should be the most important pillar of its economic progress.

"In this sense, the resolution of open issues between the municipality of Zeta and the Capital City, of which the issue of demarcation is particularly important, is a necessary prerequisite for planning sustainable policies for the development of your local community. The task of all of us who are in positions of authority, whether at the state or local level level, is to make a full contribution to the prosperity of your municipality with our actions. Dukaj: Investments in the economy, agriculture and tourism give this municipality power

The Minister of Public Administration, Maraš Dukaj, congratulated the President of the Municipality of Zeta, Mihail Asanović, and the President of the Assembly of the Municipality of Zeta, Nebojša Domazetović, on February 8, Zeta Municipality Day.

"It gives me great pleasure to, both on behalf of the Ministry of Public Administration and on my own behalf, congratulate you and all citizens of the Municipality of Zeta on February 8, Municipality Day," said Dukaj.

According to him, the progress achieved by the Municipality of Zeta in, as he stated, a short time since acquiring full status is visible.

"The local administration has effectively established all the necessary municipal structures that meet the organizational criteria, whereby the Ministry of Public Administration, and I believe the Government of Montenegro, will be constructive partners of the municipality in the process of local self-government reform, in the direction of building simple, fast and better public services for the well-being of all citizens," he added.

He emphasized that Zeta's glorious history and rich cultural heritage are, as he says, exceptional potential.

"Which, along with the valorization of natural resources, as well as concrete investments in the fields of economy, agriculture and tourism, gives this municipality the real power to transform itself into a successful and European story. Through numerous cultural and educational events that are organized in this municipality, the youth are promoted, its success and progress, which can be highlighted as a special quality," added Dukaj.

He said that the Ministry of Public Administration continues to support the municipality of Zeta, in terms of, as he stated, the professionalization of public administration, with the aim of improving digital services for citizens and the economy.

Pejović: The valorization of Zeta's resources must be a priority

Vice President of the Assembly Boris Pejović congratulated Zeta Municipality Day on February 8.

"Although the youngest Montenegrin municipality, Zeta has strong predispositions for continuous development. Connections with the central and coastal part of our country make Zeta an ideal logistics center for any large company that wants to do business in Montenegro. Agricultural production is one of the trademarks of your community. Fruits and vegetables produced by hard-working Zeta households not only reach the tables of all Montenegrin families, but represent a strategically important resource without which there is no real independence of the state. This is especially felt in times of global supply chain disruptions that affect price growth and inflation," he said. is Pejović.

At the same time, as he added, the beauty of the northern shore of Lake Skadar is a potential that needs to be developed, and tourism can further stimulate the development of Zeta.

"The valorization of Zeta's resources must be a priority for both the state and local authorities. In the Assembly of Montenegro, you will have a reliable partner in this endeavor," Pejović said.

Bečić: The government will be a sincere partner

Deputy Prime Minister Aleksa Bečić stated in his congratulatory message that Zeta, with its fertile land and beneficial climate, offers unlimited opportunities for economic development, especially in the agriculture and tourism sectors.

"I would like to take this opportunity to express my gratitude to the hardworking residents of Zeta, whose dedication and hard work contribute to Zeta remaining an enchanting place whose beauty we are all proud to witness, as the largest plain in Montenegro. The Government of Montenegro will be a sincere partner to the local self-government of the youngest Montenegrin municipality in its efforts to improve the quality of life of all its residents. The continuous strengthening of this cooperation, as well as overcoming the problem of territorial delimitation with the capital city, will provide a strong impetus to the accelerated economic and overall development of Zeta," said Bečić.

Bogdanović: Montenegro is obliged to provide Zeta with quality social progress

The President of the Democrats' Parliamentary Club, Boris Bogdanović, congratulated the residents of Zeta on Municipal Day.

"Throughout the history of Montenegro, Zeta has had a great importance for the entire community. People from this area have always been dedicated to the key value of Montenegrin society, which is freedom, and in this way made a huge contribution to the construction of modern Montenegro. This is exactly why Montenegro is obliged to Zeta to enable quality social progress and the valorization of all the resources it possesses," said Bogdanović.

The Skadar lake, as well as the fertile Zeta plain, he added, provide great opportunities, both in the development of agriculture and in the development of tourism.

"Zeta, as the youngest Montenegrin municipality, is the heir to the famous state of Zeta, which represents the longevity of our statehood in this area, and it represents a special place that is woven in the spirit of Cnogorje tradition and history," said Bogdanović.

Krstović: In Zeta, our present state planted its seed

President of the Municipal Committee of the Democrats in Zeta, Luka Krstović, congratulated the residents of Zeta on Municipal Day.

"With the agreement between the Montenegrin and Turkish commissioners, and on the basis of the Berlin Treaty, the occupation of the territory of today's Zeta by the Montenegrin army began. The precious blood of our patriots, shed before this annexation, as well as that, equally shed after this date, oblige us to we remember with piety and with a bow we respect the bright sacrifice of our ancestors given to the lofty desire and idea for freedom of this noble land. In Zeta, our present-day state planted its germ, so that is another additional reason for all structures of society to devote their attention to our municipality, with the conviction that Zeta has always been and will be a fruitful area, a beauty whose brilliance never fades and our most valuable pledge for future generations," Krstović pointed out.

"The construction of a modern municipality and a future investment center, which will have its epilogue in the betterment of each of our residents, should be based on the preservation and proper use of our potential, the protection of our territory and the improvement of the environment through the prohibition of the installation of new pollutants. In this regard, fair and benevolent demarcation with the capital, as a key vector of development, suspension of the construction of collectors in Botun, improvement of agriculture and tourism, establishment of an attractive business environment and work on the progress of economic, social, health, educational and general demographic effects will certainly establish a strong corridor on the way to our Municipality towards one of the most developed, not only in the state framework," he concluded.
