Further models of future cooperation between the Ministry of Tourism, Ecology, Sustainable Development and Development of the North and non-governmental organizations (NGOs) were agreed upon, with the aim of closing the key Chapter 27 as quickly as possible.
This was assessed at the meeting of the Minister of Tourism, Ecology, Sustainable Development and Development of the North, Vladimir Martinović, and representatives of NGOs, where, among other things, the importance of establishing cooperation between institutions and the civil sector in order to improve environmental protection and promote sustainable development was emphasized.
The Ministry's announcement states that the meeting was attended by the Center for the Study and Protection of Birds (CZIP) Jovana Janjušević, Green Home Azra Vuković, Oči Podgorica Predrag Tomović, Zero Waste Vanja Cicmil, Greening Montenegro Vuk Vujisić, Dr. Martin Schneider - Jacoby (MSJA) Zenepa Lika and the Ecopatriotism movement of Ivan Čogurić
They emphasize that they have expressed strong support for the NGO sector and their future work.
"NGO representatives had the opportunity to present their views and proposals to the minister, all with the aim of improving the ecological standard of Montenegro and creating a healthier environment for all citizens," it added.
Martinović, as they said, said that this is just one in a series of meetings that they plan to hold with the NGO sector and added "that we are open to cooperation with everyone who wants to constructively contribute to the work of the department and the overall development of Montenegro".
They emphasize that all the activities carried out by the Ministry in the field of ecology and environmental protection in the past months were presented and ideas and suggestions were presented about, as they stated, possible directions for further action and work of the department in the domain of its powers.
"Martinović expressed satisfaction with the constructive dialogue with NGO representatives and emphasized the importance of their contribution and added that all suggestions and proposals presented by representatives of non-governmental organizations at the meeting will be carefully considered within the department," they concluded in the announcement.
