The "Rock&Recycle" campaign, implemented by the "Trebjesa" Nikšić Brewery and the "Ozon" Environmental Movement, has become an integral part of Lake Fest, a music festival characterized by a responsible attitude towards nature and the space where it is held, according to the announcement of the Ozon environmental movement.

The press release adds that the great cooperation of all those who support "Rock&Recycle" and the positive feedback of visitors and participants of Lake Fest, was also reflected in the effects of the campaign, which is confirmed by the fact that in the previous six years, in the manner defined by the Law on Waste Management, collected and disposed of over 100.000 waste plastic cups.

"It is very important that festival-type events, which gather a large number of people in a certain area and where significant amounts of packaging waste are generated, are accompanied by a responsible attitude towards the environment. Brewery "Trebjesa" as a company that recognizes the importance of socially responsible projects, pays significant attention to protection environment, especially when it comes to waste management, so the "Rock&Recycle" campaign was designed with the aim of influencing the individual responsibility of Lake Fest visitors, i.e. their overall impression of the space and environment in which they stayed. We want people to have fun, but also to get into the good habit of disposing of waste in designated places and learn something new about recycling. It's clear that we don't have any more time to waste and that we all have to commit to a responsible attitude towards ourselves and our environment," said Natalija Milić, manager of corporate affairs at the "Trebjese" Brewery.

The announcement adds that the "Rock&Recycle" activities, as in previous years, are designed in such a way as to encourage visitors from the moment they enter the festival area to make their stay at the Lake Fest more beautiful by proper disposal of waste and a responsible attitude towards nature.

The already recognizable campaign "Collect 20 glasses and receive a gift" has been enriched with additional content, such as the recycling information center in the camp, where visitors will be able to get free waste bags for their own needs every day, but also learn something new about recycling from activist of the Environmental Movement "Ozone", a non-governmental organization with which the "Trebjesa" Brewery has been implementing the "Rock&Recycle" campaign since the beginning.

At the entrance to the festival area, when registering for stay, an info-leaflet with logistical details about the "Rock&Recycle" campaign will be available to campers, which will further increase the level of information and influence the interest of visitors.

In the future, the "Rock&Recycle" campaign will place special emphasis on the potential of waste glasses for creative and artistic projects, which will open up space for further promotion and education.

"It is very important that the visitors of the festival feel like a part of the "Rock&Recycle" team, because the overall effect of the campaign depends on them. That's why it's important to listen to their suggestions and proposals, and we respect that and hopefully show it in return. It's a nice feeling when you meet people with "Rock&Recycle" t-shirts in another city or country, and that often happens to me, because it means that someone took a good impression from Lake Fest and Nikšić, and in some way became a promoter of a responsible attitude towards The ecological movement "Ozone" is pleased to continuously cooperate with "Trebjesa" Brewery and Lake Fest, winners of the "Green Star" environmental protection award, through "Rock&Recycle", and together I believe we can influence Lake Fest to be recognized and experienced as " "green" festival", points out Aleksandar Perović, director of the Ecological Movement "Ozone".

The announcement adds that the Lake Fest, which is being organized for the seventh time in the immediate vicinity of Krupački Jezera, in the beautiful environment of the protective poplar forest, shows from the very beginning that the organizers can and must focus considerable attention on the improvement and protection of the environment and the space on which realizes the festival.

Proof of this is the public engagement of the organization, whose goal is the revitalization of the thinned poplar forest and the improvement of the contents of this once most popular picnic spot in Nikšić, whose tourist potential is much greater than what is currently being used.

"As someone who recognizes the potential of the space where "Lake Fest" takes place, which is proven by the fact that we are organizing a festival of this scale right here, I am very interested in making both a professional and personal contribution to the further improvement of the content and everything else that will influence the environment is improved and made more interesting for the stay of people of all generations. Likewise, when it comes to waste disposal, it is important that everyone, regardless of age, shows a responsible attitude, that above all we try not to create unnecessary waste, but also that we dispose of what we cannot avoid in the designated place. This is exactly the essence of "Rock&Recycle" and it's nice that Lake fest is also recognized for this environmental action", said Peđa Zečević, director of Lake fest.

The "Rock&Recycle" campaign will be implemented on all three festival days in the camp and in the Lake Fest festival area, and the promoters will be at visible promo counters, where there will also be dedicated containers for waste glasses.
