The Public Company for the Management of Marine Assets (JPMD) has announced a tender for the arrangement and rehabilitation of Tivat's Solili and protected areas with a total estimated value of 45.000 euros including VAT.

The tender includes construction and land development works, mostly within Solil, while a smaller part of the works is planned for the recently declared new nature reserve and protected area of Platamun in the municipality of Kotor.

The tender is divided into three lots. The most expensive financially, but the most interesting in terms of the content of the required works, is lot 1 with an estimated value of 26.500 euros without VAT. The Maritime Administration has estimated that it will cost it that much to purchase and install two larger metal info-boards measuring 6x1,5 meters with the inscription "Platamuni Nature Park", which the contractor should place in two places in Donji Grblje, and the removal to the landfill of the two existing boards with of that area, as well as a series of smaller interventions in the Solila Nature Reserve. Of these interventions, the construction of a reinforced concrete table measuring 2x0,9 meters with its covering with stone slabs, the procurement and installation of a prefabricated fountain with a sink in the open area, the procurement and installation of 10 new benches and eight new trash cans, and the construction and installation of one smaller info board and one three-meter high wooden signpost.

In addition, the contractor on Solili is required to move 12 pieces of existing benches and waste bins to other locations within the protected area, to take and throw away five pieces of worn-out benches and bins to the landfill, and to procure and spread one cube of humus in the already dug planting pit in which he will plant one new rosemary or lavender plant.

The list of works provided for in lot 1, which Morsko Dobro is ready to pay even over 32.000 euros including VAT, includes, in addition to the mentioned, painting with protective wax on only one side of a total of 150 pieces of laminated wood boards at the Visitor Center facility and installation 150 aluminum protective caps on the tops of those wooden elements on the roof of the building.

The second batch of works on Solili, worth 3.200 euros without VAT, requested by Morsko Dobro includes the production and installation of two smaller metal sealing plates made of stainless steel with a manual mechanism for opening and closing, which will be placed on one of the dams of the supply channels on Solili. The third batch of requested works, with an estimated value of 7.490 euros without VAT, includes the replacement of worn-out wooden parts of fences, steps and handrails on bridges and observation towers on Solili and their protection with new insecticide coatings, as well as facade and painting works on the Visitor Center, i.e. metal works on installation of boards at some of the crossings over the canal, and work on maintaining cleanliness and collecting waste and clearing weed vegetation.

From the way the tender is written, it turns out that JPMD is asking to replace literally one piece of wooden post and one piece of wooden intermediate post for the fence, one square meter of the total area of all the treads of the wooden stairs on the observation towers, replace a total of only one required meter of boards on the handrails of all the wooden fences on Solilma, repaint only one square of the surface of the facade of the Visitor Center and paint only one square of its walls and ceiling, and they coat only two square meters of all the wooden elements on the bridges on Solilma with insecticide. From the entire area of this nature reserve, which extends over several tens of hectares, lot 3 requires that only one square of the surface of the weed vegetation be cleared, and that the workers who will be collecting garbage on Solili, finish it in just one working hour.

The way in which the tender was announced, and especially the high estimated value of the minor works requested by Paria 1 of over 32.000 euros including VAT, reminds of some previous similar jobs that the Maritime Administration performed in Solili in the past period, such as when in September 2021. that state-owned company paid as much as 10.000 euros to the supplier - the company "Arhibiro" from Budva - for a new small wooden temporary building-a canopy with benches made up of several thin wooden beams and boards and three wooden benches made of roughly hewn shapes.
