I had almost no working hours, I was at the Health Center both before and after noon, often on weekends and whenever I felt I had to be, Danilo Jokić, former director of the Health Center (DZ) Podgorica, announced today.
He was reacting to the announcement of the Management of DZ Podgorica, in which it is stated, among other things, that Jokić paid himself a fee of 150 euros per month, and that the same decisions were made for the head nurse and the secretary.
"I won't make many excuses to you because you don't deserve it. I won't because every cent of earnings passed the control of the Health Fund and it never happened that any proposal was rejected. As the director of this institution until recently, I tried to separate work from non-work, but unfortunately I didn't succeed in that completely. You are trying to make a story out of overtime work which is an inevitable thing in mines and health care facilities. How lucky that you also worked overtime. Every overtime hour is justified, signed and paid. Part of our management has been for almost a year I also worked in covid conditions, doing my own work and that of others. I was not even able to reward some people for what they did, nor could DZ pay them as much as they deserved. I will also be personal, I had almost no working hours, I was in the DZ both in the morning and in the afternoon, often on weekends and whenever I felt I had to be. So that you wouldn't call me miserable, and that speaks about you, publicly, for the umpteenth time I report my monthly earnings, not only salary, rather than earnings, with 30 years of experience, 40 overtime hours and everything that belonged to me - my net earnings ranged from 1.512 to 1.650 euros," said Jokić in the announcement.
He added that, for the sake of comparison, the salary of the elected doctor, who is also the president of the Board of Directors, Dr. Natalija Petrić, who, as he said, has been campaigning against him for more than two years, was a total of 2.323 euros (1.451 euros as an employee of the DZ and 871 euros as president of the Board of Directors).
"The net salary of the member of the Board of Directors from the "rank of employees", with one year of service, Dr. Igor Ljutica, was 1.700 euros (of which he received 523 euros in the Board of Directors)," said Jokić.
He said that he leaves the public to judge how much he, as the director of the DZ, was paid, and how much some were overpaid or underpaid.
"Certain media previously published our earnings, so the public could be convinced that with my director's earnings I was not among the first hundred in the Health Center. I did not fight for myself, but I did for my colleagues and the profession. Life has taught me that patience is a great virtue. I have patience and it will quickly show, gentlemen, colleagues, what is the purpose of this unworthy attack on the former management. We await your new appointments for the well-done job of persecution and personal pursuit of me," said Jokić.
He said that despite this, he will still proudly hold his head, aware of the fact that in arranged circumstances, together with his team, he could have done better and more, but that in the conditions I found, and with some of them who worked against him and DZ, it's a miracle that they succeeded as much as they did.
"You have forgotten, respected colleagues, how difficult it was to enter the DZ, which for decades was octroinized and captured by the power of the DPS. You forgot that we are the first and only transition in our administration since the introduction of multi-party system. You deal with us, and we are DPS's legacy. People will understand how difficult it is and how inhumane this shameful persecution of yours is. The former head of finance of the DZ during the former regime is now a member of the State Review Commission!? Congratulations. Just don't forget that her business is the subject of SDT's attention. People would say: you are who you are with," concluded Jokić.
