The Department for Seismology of the Institute for Hydrometeorology and Seismology registered a weak earthquake today at 10.40:XNUMX a.m. with an epicenter six kilometers north of Podhum, in Tuzi.
The strength of the earthquake in the focal point was 2.8 units on the Richter scale, which corresponds to an epicentral intensity of III degree on the Mercalli scale (MCS). The epicenter of the earthquake was located at a depth of 23 kilometers.
"Based on the numerical model of the change in intensity with distance in this region, the magnitude of the earthquake and the depth of the hypocenter, this earthquake could not have caused material damage in the epicentral area," the statement said.
