The Supreme State Prosecutor's Office (VDT) forwarded to colleagues from the Special State Prosecutor's Office (SDT) for jurisdiction and action the findings of the State Audit Institution on the operations of "Montefarm".

This was unofficially confirmed by "Vijesta" yesterday.

The State Audit Institution (DRI) announced last week the audit of the Annual Financial Report of "Montefarm" for the year 2022 and the compliance of the business with laws, regulations and other acts.

The public institution, in charge of supplying state pharmacies and public health institutions with medicines and medical devices, received a positive opinion on the annual financial report, but a negative opinion on the regularity of business. That is why the audit was submitted to the prosecutor's office.

Through the regularity audit, it was determined that "Montefarm" financial transactions and business activities in all material aspects did not comply with several laws - the Law on Management and Internal Controls in the Public Sector, the Law on State Property, the Law on Public Procurement, the Law on Obligations, and The Regulation on the manner of keeping records of movable and immovable property and on the inventory of state-owned property...

The competent Board of the SAI, led by Senator Branislav Radulović and member Milan Dabović, gave "Montefarm" 36 recommendations.

"Vijesti" announced yesterday that at the end of 2022, "Montefarm" took over the debt of the medical wholesaler Medicalana in the amount of 80.000 euros to a commercial bank, although at that time, according to the documentation, it had no debts to that private company.

The SAI stated in the report that the cession agreement was concluded without complete, credible financial documentation, that is, that payment by cession should be preceded by a debtor-creditor relationship.

"Montefarm", which is managed by Goran Marinović, replied to "Vijesta" that they concluded the cession agreement with a private wholesaler solely in order to "preserve the liquidity of the institution and distribute the money at their disposal". They point out that they took over the private debt in order to pay in installments for the goods that were supposed to be delivered in 2023.
