The Department for Seismology of the Institute for Hydrometeorology and Seismology registered a minor earthquake this morning at 8.07:XNUMX a.m., with an epicenter in the area of Klicevo, in Nikšić.
The strength of the earthquake in the focal point was 3.1 on the Richter scale, which corresponds to an epicentral intensity of III-IV degree on the Mercalli scale (MCS).
According to preliminary processing data, the epicenter of the earthquake was located at a depth of 22 kilometers.
"Based on the theoretical model of the macroseismic field of this region, the magnitude of the earthquake and the depth of the hypocenter, this earthquake could not cause material damage in the epicentral area," the statement said.
