After providing funds for the equipping and establishment of the public kitchen of the Caritas Kotor Diocese in Tivat, a Montenegrin family from Berlin provided all the necessary funds for the first six months of the kitchen's operation.
The kitchen in Tivat will serve individuals and families in a state of material need, regardless of their origin and national or any affiliation. It is important to note that in these joint efforts of the Municipality of Tivat and Caritas, care for the members of the Roma minority community, who will be the majority of beneficiaries, occupies a special place.
The Montenegrin family from Berlin continues its charitable mission in Montenegro, emphasizing the importance of solidarity, humanitarian work and philanthropy for the cohesion of a society. Montenegro is a state of social justice according to its constitutional definition, and for these reasons, if not for empathy and solidarity, the state and society must pay special attention to those who need help.
Tivat, as a place where multi-million dollar development projects are developed and built and which attracts the wealthiest guests and tourists, must have an even more refined sense of the vulnerable populations in its community.
