HIV testing is also organized today in the "House of Health" in Podgorica from 14:20 to XNUMX:XNUMX.
"The commemoration of this date is carried out with the aim of pointing out the importance of HIV testing and encouraging citizens to get tested in order to find out their HIV status as early as possible and, if necessary, start treatment. HIV testing is an act of caring for oneself and others and is key to ending epidemic of HIV. When HIV infection is detected in time, at an earlier stage, and when treatment is started immediately, a person infected with HIV can live a long and quality life. Antiretroviral drugs lead to a reduction of the amount of the virus below the level of detection, which prevents transmission of the virus to healthy persons, i.e. a person infected with HIV who is on therapy and has a good therapeutic response cannot transmit the virus to uninfected persons. Today there are several free, simple, fast and confidential ways of testing for HIV," the statement said. Institute.
