The report of the Administrative Inspection, which refers to the inspection carried out in the Protection and Rescue Service of the Capital City, found a violation of the Labor Law by the former commander, which was also stated in the previously filed criminal complaint against Goran Janković.
This is stated, among other things, in the press release of the Protection and Rescue Service of the Capital City.
"As stated in the minutes, in the period from 2019 until his dismissal in 2023, Janković made decisions that were contrary to the law, which caused damage to the reputation and budget of the Capital City. In addition, we hope that the case supervision, there should also be other points of the criminal report which stated numerous abuses of human and material resources of the Service, for the benefit of individuals", they said.
The news previously announced that the mayor Olivera Injac passed a decision in mid-October that terminated Janković's mandate and dismissed him.
Janković joined the Protection Service from the Municipal Police in 2019, and was in office until 2025.
"The criminal report submitted to the Special State Prosecutor's Office by the Mayor of Podgorica Olivera Injac and the Secretary for Local Self-Government and Cooperation with Civil Society of the Capital Slađana Andušić against the former commander of the Protection and Rescue Service, Goran Janković, indicated the existence of grounds for suspicion of numerous abuses reputation, but also damaged the budget of the Capital City", they concluded from the Capital City.
