Odović signed the de Chaillot Declaration at the forum on buildings and climate

As part of the Forum's obligation, I had the honor of participating in the preparation and adoption of the Declaration de Chaillot, said Minister of Spatial Planning, Urbanism and State Property Janko Odović.

He said this at the Global Building and Climate Forum held in Paris.

The forum, as stated in a statement from the Ministry of Spatial Planning, Urbanism and State Property, brought together ministers and key stakeholders from around the world in an effort to address the critical challenge of construction, decarbonization and resilience in the world.

"This declaration represents Montenegro's strong commitment to international cooperation in achieving a sustainable future for our buildings, the construction sector as a whole, a better and more sustainable environment," said Odović.

According to them, the de Chaillot declaration states common principles and a framework for cooperation in order to launch global initiatives for decarbonization and climate resilience in buildings.

"By confirming this declaration, Montenegro joins the global movement dedicated to creating a future in which our buildings are not only energy-efficient, but also adaptable to climate change," the announcement states.

Odović, as they stated, said that this is a significant step towards a European and sustainable future for Montenegro.

"I am convinced that our participation in this Forum and commitment to the de Chaillot Declaration will contribute to a more sustainable future of our country, region and planet, to the strengthening and even better positioning of Montenegro as an ecological country. It is our obligation to leave a healthier environment, safe and sustainable society", concluded Odović.
