The president of the Krstac local community, Dragoljub Manojlović, told "Vijesti" that property damage was caused in Golija, where the epicenter of the earthquake was (the village of Čarađe).
"Miladin Manojlović's barn was demolished, and every village in Golija calls me to say that their houses and barns are cracked, that there are a lot of damaged roofs. There are several landslides on the Nikšić - Krstac road," said Manojlović.
Due to the landslide, which was caused by the earthquake, the road towards the Krstac border crossing was closed to traffic until the early hours of the morning. The locals cleared the road so that the police officers could pass. There were also landslides on several sections of the local road in Golija.
About 130 households live permanently in Golija.
An earthquake measuring 5.4 on the Richter scale shook the territory of Montenegro in four hours and six minutes.
The Institute for Hydrometeorology and Seismology announced that the epicenter was five kilometers from the town of Čarađe in the municipality of Nikšić. The focal point was at a depth of 14 kilometers.
