The Department for Seismology of the Institute for Hydrometeorology and Seismology registered an earthquake measuring 21 on the Richter scale at 32:3.0 p.m. tonight.
The Institute said that the epicenter was five kilometers west of Čarađe.
According to the preliminary processing data, the epicenter of this earthquake was located at a depth of 11 kilometers, the Institute added.
"Based on the theoretical model of the macroseismic field of this region, the magnitude of the earthquake and the depth of the hypocenter, this earthquake could not cause material damage in the epicentral area," the announcement concludes.
