The rehabilitation of the Dobrakovo landslide between the border crossings of Montenegro and Serbia should be completed by September 2025, said the Minister of Transport and Maritime Affairs, Filip Radulović.
The Ministry of Transport and Maritime Affairs announced that Radulović, during a tour of the site where the works have started, said that he expects the contractor to finish the work within the deadline of September 2025 and to submit a dynamic work execution plan to the Traffic Administration as soon as possible.
"This landslide has been active for several years, and so far it has always been temporarily repaired. However, we have now started with permanent rehabilitation, which will ensure the smooth flow of traffic without the risk of the landslide fully activating and interrupting traffic on this road, which is very significant for the road connection between Montenegro and the Republic of Serbia. The contracted price of the works is around 5,2 million euros, and the deadline for the completion of the works is September 11, 2025," Radulović pointed out.
He said that this project is another proof that the Ministry continues to invest in the north, improving road infrastructure and the overall development of this part of Montenegro.
The Director of the Traffic Administration, Radomir Vuksanović, who visited the active construction site in Dobrakovo with the minister, said that he expects the rehabilitation to go according to plan and that in this way the landslide between the border crossings of Montenegro and Serbia will finally be solved permanently and with quality.
"During the last year, major deformations were noticed on this section of the road, and we assessed that it must be repaired urgently, and therefore we announced a tender and selected contractors and supervision. We hope that the deadline will be respected and that in the future we will not have problems with traffic on this stakeholders", said Vuksanović.
The press release states that the Danilovgrad company Eurozox was selected through a tender for the rehabilitation of the landslide in Dobrakov, and the construction company Geotechnics Projects & Consulting (GPC) from Podgorica was selected for supervision.
