The non-governmental organization "Mozaik" from Nikšić held a workshop on creative expression intended for women with disabilities.
"The goal of the workshop was to get acquainted with the basics of starting your own creative business, with a focus on jewelry design. The event was an opportunity for the participants to develop their skills, acquire new knowledge and, encouraged by their artistic potential, move towards the realization of their professional ambitions," said Blagoje Šturanović. executive director of "Mozaik".
The participants had the opportunity to learn about different aspects of artistic expression and entrepreneurship, including digital presentation and graphic design. Part of the workshop was dedicated to practical activities where the participants had the task of shaping, painting and creating unique pieces of jewelry.
"This process not only allowed the participants to explore and develop their creative potential, but also served as a practical introduction to the technical aspects of jewelry making," Šturanović said.
At the end of the workshop, the participants shared their works and experiences with the group.
"The discussion allowed the participants to exchange ideas, get feedback and think together about how creative activities can affect their self-confidence and entrepreneurial aspirations. We reminded the participants of the available resources, funds, grants and projects that they can access for additional support and empowerment at on the way to the realization of their creative and business ideas," Šturanović concluded.
The trainer at the workshop was Jelena Kostić, one of the founders of the Art Center from Nikšić.
The workshop is part of the project "Empowered - Visible", which is implemented by the NGO "Mozaik", and is supported through the program "CSOs in Montenegro - from basic services to policy formulation - M'BASE" which is implemented by the Center for Civic Education (CGO) in partnership with the Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung (FES), the Center for the Protection and Study of Birds of Montenegro (CZIP) and the Politikon network and in cooperation with the Ministry of Public Administration and the Ministry of European Affairs of the Government of Montenegro. The project is financed by the European Union and co-financed by the Ministry of Public Administration.
