Rodić visited the Municipality of Tivat: The most space for cooperation in tourism and culture

Serbian Ambassador to Montenegro Nebojša Rodić visited the Municipality of Tivat on Thursday.

As announced yesterday by the local administration of Tivat, a reception was arranged for him in the cabinet of the President of the Municipality Željko Komnenović, and the President of the Assembly of the Municipality of Tivat Miljan Marković and the Vice President of the Municipality Jovan Brinić attended the meeting.

"In the past period, we had good cooperation with all diplomatic and consular missions of Serbia in Montenegro. With your arrival, we expect the intensification and strengthening of mutual relations," said Komnenović.

Welcoming Rodić, Komnenović informed the delegation of the Serbian Embassy about the plans of the local administration, with special emphasis on the preparation of the upcoming tourist season.

"The largest number of tourists in Tivat are guests from Serbia, which is influenced by good air connections, but also friendly and family relations. We expect the season to start earlier, and we are solving numerous problems in order for the tourist season to run smoothly," said Komnenović.

Rodić took office on February 1 and is making an official visit to Tivat for the first time. He referred to the fact that Tivat is experiencing a kind of cosmopolitan expansion. He expressed his expectation that the tourist season in Montenegro will be exceptional and that in this sense he expects a large number of tourists from Serbia.

Rodić emphasized culture as an area in which exceptional cooperation can be achieved, especially taking into account the very lively cultural scene of Tivat.

The Vice President of Tivat Municipality, Jovan Brinić, shared with the ambassador details about the already traditional organization of the "Serbian Parliament" manifestation in Krtoli, this year for the ninth time. He also announced the great jubilee, 250 years of primary school education in Radovići, which will be celebrated in 2026.
