Locals of Kamenovo and Sveti Stefan held a protest today at noon due to the devastation of the pedestrian stone path, which led through the former Kosovar resort to the beach itself.
The stone path was dug up and turned into a road so that cars could go directly to the beach.
The president of the "Sveti Stefan" Municipal Council, Vladislav Mitrović, told "Vijesta" that the locals are against the devastation of the area, because the stone path with steps, which led through the forest, was destroyed, and pine trees and olive trees were cut down.
He said that they called on the Public Enterprise "Morsko Dobro" and the Municipality of Budva to react.
The representative of the MZ "Sveti Stefan" Srđan Kuljača invited the Minister of Spatial Planning, Urbanism and Property Management Janko Odović to come to Kamenovo and be their guest.
"We want to personally present to him all the problems that our local community is facing, not only when it comes to Kamenovo, but in the entire area and in Sveti Stefan and Pržno," said Kuljača to "Vijesta".

The President of the Management Board of JP "Morsko dobro" Blažo Radjenović told "Vijesta" that the works were immediately stopped, and that the controllers of this company made an official note which was forwarded to the Municipal Police and Inspection of the Municipality of Budva, as well as to the Urban and Construction Inspection.
He emphasized that the inspectors found that the works were being carried out without permission and approval, and that the tenant was given a deadline of three days to return the space to its original state.

"When we collect all the necessary documentation, given the devastation in the area, pine and olive trees were destroyed, the only pedestrian communication to the beach was cut off, and if it is an element of a criminal act, the Morsko dobro will file a criminal complaint," stressed Rađenović.
Rađenović said that, if the space is not returned to its original state within three days, JP Morsko dobro will initiate according to the Ministry of Spatial Planning, Urbanism and Property Management to change the Atlas swimming pool.

"That the Kamenovo swimming pool be free of furniture and the beach be public for all citizens. This will also be a message to all unscrupulous investors. The public company will sanction any attempt at devastation in the zone of marine property, especially the interruption of communication with the swimming pools, as well as non-compliance with regulations, laws and of the constitution. JP Morsko dobro will always be there to protect the public good and access to it," said Rađenović.
