The spirit of Easter gives strength and incentive to build coexistence on earth, on the foundations of solidarity, compassion and willingness to sacrifice for all loved ones, said Deputy Prime Minister for Security, Internal Policy, European and Foreign Affairs, Aleksa Bečić.
Bečić, as announced by his cabinet, was a guest at the ceremonial reception in the crypt of the cathedral in Topolica on the occasion of Catholic Easter, at the invitation of the archbishop of Bar, Monsignor Roko Đonlešaj.
"The spirit of Easter, the holiday that celebrates the victory of life over death, gives us strength and incentive to build coexistence on earth based on solidarity, compassion and willingness to sacrifice for all our loved ones, as the most sincere expression of love," said Bečić.
He said that the presence of representatives of all religions at the mass is a clear indication that modern Montenegro truly values multi-religious and multinational harmony and that all its citizens are aware that they cannot do without each other.
According to Bečić, togetherness makes Montenegro magnificent.
"Only with mutual respect and preservation of peace can we overcome the challenges we all face equally, showing faith in the final victory of good", said Bečić.
The reception was also attended by Metropolitan Joanikije of Montenegro and the Littoral, Chief Imam of the Majlis of the Islamic Community Bar Muidin Milaimi and President of the Jewish Community of Montenegro Nina Ofner Bokan.
