The song reaches two faculties

In the middle of the month at the Faculty of Philosophy in Nikšić, rehearsals of a unique choir will begin, which will be made up of employees and students.

The idea of ​​founding a choir was initiated by the vice-deans Biljana Maslovaric i Diana Vuckovic.

"The two started the idea a few years ago, but it seems that all good things need a certain amount of time to mature and be put into operation. The initiative is theirs, I accepted it with open arms and it is important for all of us that this story is brought to an end", she told "Vijesti" mr. Andrijana Vučetić Obadović, future conductor of the choir.

The mentioned two faculties, Philosophical and Philological, are located in the same building, the employees cooperate well, so it was time for them to have a common choir.

"It is important to note that the idea, primarily of Biljana Maslovarić, was that through this extracurricular activity we would all bond - employees of both faculties, including support staff, teaching staff and administration, as well as our students. We are very satisfied with the response, both among faculty employees and students. Everyone is spreading that positive energy, which makes us very happy," said Vučetić Obadović, teaching assistant at the Faculty of Philosophy.

He explained that it is not a rare case that colleges establish a choir, but that there is always either a choir of professors or a choir of students.

"However, Biljana insisted that it be a chorus of employees and students. Why not, let that novelty start from us", Vučetič Obadović said with a smile.

Although not yet established, the choir already has several characteristics that make it different from other choirs.

"We came up with the idea, although it is not typical for choirs, that there is no audition, for the simple reason of relieving all those interested, because auditions are often a big problem for people, especially amateurs, and they cannot show their musical abilities. Of course, we will check their vocal range at the rehearsals", explains the future conductor, who has many years of experience in conducting amateur choirs.

The application for membership in the amateur choir ensemble lasts until the end of the week, and the first rehearsals begin in the middle of the month.

"With this beautiful weather comes a song at these two faculties. As for the initial repertoire, it will be songs Miladin Šobić. There is also an indispensable academic anthem, because the choir should be a part of all festivities organized by these two institutions", explains Vučetić Obadović and adds that everyone will choose each new song they will perform together.

"We will all mature through our choir gathering, and I believe that we will be ready to perform in September, when the index is handed over to the new generation of students. As far as I am informed, with apologies to all those who worked before that, there was never a choir at the Faculty of Philosophy", concluded the conductor and added that she believes that they will have adequate uniforms.
