Secretary of the Secretariat for Inspection Affairs of the Municipality of Pljevlja Miladinka Kamberovic today she resigned from that position.
Kamberović submitted her resignation in writing to the President of the Municipality Darius Vranes, after the events related to the demolition of temporary buildings on Patriarch Varnava Square, and the accusations made by Vraneš against her.
"It is correct that some colleagues realized that they could not deal with the problems and retired from their positions. We don't want to make a kasaba out of the city. It is not possible to hold office and not hold grudges. We have to work exclusively in the interest of the Municipality, the city and all our citizens. Due to the poor performance of some services, even after 15 years, we do not have a reconstructed Square. I ask all fellow elders for maximum responsibility, dedication, promptness and commitment to work. No one is irreplaceable. No one can stop the development of the city," Vraneš told local media.
The acting secretary for inspection affairs will be appointed in the next few days.
Recently, during the first unsuccessful attempt to demolish one of the temporary buildings on Patriarch Varnave Square, Vraneš accused some local government officials of "not fulfilling their work obligations".
"In the whole story, a particular problem is the behavior of certain municipal officials who do not fulfill their work obligations. The secretary for inspection affairs, despite my several warnings to ask for police assistance in time, in writing, did not do so. I will ask for her disciplinary responsibility and resignation," Vraneš told reporters at the time.
In response, Kuburović appealed to the State Prosecutor's Office to investigate the statements of the President of the Municipality.
