Action launched to collect aid for socially vulnerable individuals and families in Montenegro

The Volunteers of Montenegro Foundation launched an action to collect aid for socially vulnerable individuals and families in Montenegro.

"The goal of the action is to provide basic life and food items for citizens who are in a state of social need. In Montenegro, according to the latest data, every fourth citizen lives at risk of poverty, which represents a serious social challenge. This alarming statistic indicates the need for urgent action in order to provide support to those who daily face the impossibility of meeting basic life needs," said Ana Radonjić, from the Volunteers of Montenegro Foundation.

She reminded that the Volunteers of Montenegro, with the help of citizens and socially responsible companies, continuously implements actions to collect and distribute necessary funds for the most vulnerable part of the population.

"We invite all citizens who are able to provide their contribution in money, food, clothes or other basic necessities and for the community to show empathy and support for those who need it the most. Although we are all faced with big challenges in the form of high prices and inflation, we must and want to be in solidarity with our fellow citizens, who lived in poverty even before the current unfavorable circumstances," said Radonjić.

As she pointed out, there is no such thing as a small or insignificant donation when it comes to providing assistance to the socially vulnerable part of the population.
