It is our duty to respect and nurture diversity in Montenegro, and the symbolism of the holiday points to the best in people, said the President of the Parliament of Montenegro Andrija Mandić.
He said this in a congratulatory letter sent to the head of the Islamic Community in Montenegro, Rifat ef. Fejzic and all believers of the Islamic faith on the occasion of Eid al-Fitr.
"With joint and dedicated work, we must create a society of tolerance, which is necessary for a better future of Montenegro. On behalf of the Parliament of Montenegro and myself, I would like to sincerely congratulate you and all believers of the Islamic faith on Eid al-Fitr, with the wish that this great holiday brings peace, health and happiness to every home and family," Mandic said.
Mandić, as stated in the Assembly's press release, pointed out that the challenging times in which, as he said, we currently find ourselves, demand that unity, peace and mutual understanding be preserved and strengthened.
"This is what future generations who want development, prosperity and a society without divisions are asking of us. In that name, I once again want to offer my heartiest congratulations on Eid al-Fitr," concluded Mandić.
