The head of the Islamic community in Montenegro, Rifat Fejzić, in his Eid greeting, called on the faithful to rejoice in the days of Eid, because they managed to overcome "all those destructive forces in us".
"At the end of the Ramadan fast, the believer welcomes the days of Eid with joy, days of joy and hope. We look forward to Eid, because it is a symbol of the reward we eagerly hope for. We rejoice because with the Ramadan fast we have conquered ourselves and our egos, our desires and demands.
"Ramadan enriched us with an awareness of God, we learned to be compassionate and generous. We realized that only with a sincere attitude towards faith can we overcome the moral diseases of today's society. We learned the true values of life in this world," said Fejzić in his congratulatory message.
"The Messenger of Islam, Muhammad (peace be upon him) taught us that the prayer of a fasting person should not be rejected. Full of hope and convinced of the triumph of truth, our prayers in these mild days are with Gaza and Palestine. The genocide that is happening to the children and civilians of Gaza is a lesson and a message for us. Our thoughts and our prayers in these mild days are prayers for peace in the world and order on Earth.
"Dear believers, let us rejoice in the days of Eid, because we have managed to overcome all those destructive forces within us. Let us spend the days of Eid in the joy of our families. Let us remember our relatives and friends during the days of Eid, visit the sick and infirm, visit the cemeteries of our dead. is Eid, and they rejoice and rejoice.
"On behalf of myself and the Islamic community in Montenegro, Bajram sherif mubarek olsun to all members of Islam in our country and the diaspora," concluded Fejzić.
