The fire that had been raging for days in the village of Stup in the Prošćen mountains near Mojkovac on about 15 hectares was extinguished today, the commander of the Mojkovac Protection and Rescue Service, Marinko Medojević, told Television Vijesti.

About half of the territory where the fire has been active since Saturday belongs to the Durmitor National Park.
On Monday evening, residential buildings were also threatened, but the Mojkovac firefighters managed to defend them, and after that the teams remained on duty and defended the buildings from the elements of fire.
Mostly pine forest, tree stumps, low vegetation and meadows burned.
