The NGO "35 mm" said that they were appalled, but not surprised, by the performance of the artistic director of the Nikšić city theater, Janko Jelic, who did not allow the performance of the play "Exhibition of Women", which talks about discrimination and violence against women.
"The clericalization of society and 'traditional values' today give the floor and position to Jelići and the like, whose farcical chatter is an insult to public discourse and public dialogue," said the NGO "35 mm" and said that they were disgusted, but not surprised, by the performance of the artistic director of the city theater Nikšić.
"The very fact that women are the ones who discriminate against this ascetic is in sharp collision with the official figures of beaten, raped and murdered women in Montenegro... We believe that everything has taken on the status of an epidemic.
After the correct redirection of Jelic by the head of the Municipality, and the promise that he will correct the arbitrariness and censorship of his bully, we expect that the Independent Theater Theater Bunt will give him a nice emotional role in the last act of the play. That would be called: poetic justice," the announcement concludes.
