At the spring session of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) in Strasbourg, the MP of the Citizens' Movement URA, Miloš Konatar, supported the initiative recognizing the right to a healthy environment as part of basic human rights.
Konatar, in his speech at PSSE, emphasized that Montenegro, defined by the Constitution as an ecological state, will always strongly support any initiative aimed at promoting human rights to a healthy environment, URA announced.
He said that the challenge of climate change is our reality and the greatest existential threat to humanity. Our response must be urgent, courageous and joint in achieving additional efforts to protect the environment, said Konatar.
"As the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe, we must look to the future and set the direction and standards in environmental protection that will be evaluated and measured in the decades to come.
