President of the Municipality of Mojkovac Vesko Delic issued a Decision regulating the formation of taxi fares in that city.
As explained to "Vijesti" from his office, the goal is to stop "rampant prices for that type of service, that is, situations in which taxi drivers set prices arbitrarily."
The previous price lists were allegedly not certified by the Municipality and left the possibility of excessively high taxi fares. The prices limited by the Decision, as the Municipality says, are the result of an agreement with taxi drivers.
In the future, taxi operators can form prices based on three tariffs. The first refers to the period from six o'clock to 22 p.m., and the second to the period from 22 p.m. to six o'clock. Prices for freely contracted driving are formed within the third tariff. As specified, a free ride can be arranged at the passenger's request for a predetermined route and cannot be less favorable than the valid taxi tariff of the carrier.
"Within each tariff, the minimum and maximum price for each individual service is determined. Services that are subject to tariffs are starting the drive, driving per kilometer traveled, waiting for one hour. The minimum starting price of the auto-taxi tariff is 1,5, while the maximum is two euros. The minimum price of driving a car-taxi tariff per kilometer traveled is 70 cents. The maximum price of the auto-taxi tariff per kilometer traveled is 80 cents," the Decision reads.
The minimum waiting price will be three, and the maximum six euros per hour. The decision also states that arrival at the address cannot be charged. It was also explained that the maximum prices are applied in the period from 22:XNUMX to XNUMX:XNUMX in the morning.
The decision determined that the price of transporting a piece of luggage, which weighs more than 30 kilograms, is five percent of the price of transportation. Supervision over the implementation of the Decision will be carried out by the Municipal Police and inspection services.
