The Municipal Assembly of Pljevlja accepted the initiative to rename the left side of Ulica Kralja Petra I, between Omladinska and Velimir Jakića streets, to Vukoman Tešovića street.

"It is about a young man who was about to complete his military service and who died on the border with Albania on May 11, 1999, during the NATO aggression. The proposal for a street to be named after him was submitted by the local community of Brvenica. We should repay him and his family, and that is why we supported this proposal," said Božidar Jelovac, president of the Committee for Naming Settlements, Streets and Squares.

Jelovac also said that Tivatska Street in the suburb of Komini was renamed to Branka Krvavac Street.

"Krvavac is a member of the JNA who died on the Dubrovnik-Herzegovina battlefield on October 23, 1991." He was hit by a sniper's bullet while assisting his wounded commander. He showed great courage and humanity, great human virtue, and we have the obligation to name Komini Street after him at the suggestion of the local community. This is the street where he was born and where he lived," Jelovac said.
