Kolašinsk School for Basic Music Education will be the host of the 49th Montenegrin Youth Music Festival.
This event, which will be held from April 29 to 30, will gather students from 14 Montenegrin elementary music schools, as well as students of the Music Academy from Cetinje.
"Participants of the festival will show their skills and knowledge in solfeggio, then playing the accordion, violin, cello, double bass, guitar... Competitions will be held in the piano duo and choir categories. The choir competition is held at the "Nenad Rakočević" Cultural Center in Mojkovac, and the others in Kolašin," said the school director. Marija Jovanovic.
In addition to the competition part, the organizers made an effort to create an interesting music program, which will be held every evening during the Festival.
The event will be opened with a concert by the Belgrade Aratos Trio (piano, violin, clarinet) on April 28. The following day, the opera "Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs" by the Art School for Music and Ballet "Vasa Pavić" from Podgorica is scheduled to be performed at the Cultural Center in Mojkovac, and Miloš Zec's orchestra "Sky Glory" (accordion) from Prijedor will perform at the closing of the festival.
The director of the Kolašin School says that the municipalities of Kolašin and Mojkovac, as well as the relevant Ministry, helped organize the Festival. Support in the accommodation of the participants was provided by the Mojkovac and Kolasin tourist organizations.
