"But in order for the son of God to be resurrected, we as a nation need to be resurrected in a moral, social, spiritual, material and overall sense. I am afraid that if by any chance the crucified Christ decides to visit Montenegro, few of us would recognize him in this rush for fleeting, which is perhaps more comforting than the inquisitor from Seville that Dostoevsky writes about, who judged people in the name of God, and then when he saw God, he drove him out of the city, threatening to crucify him again because he was ruining his business .
"Unfortunately, the principles of the global village and the geopolitics that are stronger in that village are increasingly bringing us into a state of unanimity and moving away from the principles of humanity and sacrifice for one's neighbor. 'If there is no God, then everything is permitted,' cried Dostoevsky again somewhere, but God will be even if we are not there. Which means that it is not up to God, it is also up to us. That is why it is not allowed to be silent or hide behind baroque sentences, when everyone expects to hear the voice of reason and heart, when it is not enough to mention Kosovo and Metohija and our suffering people on the holy land, who with their remains protect Visoke Dečani, Pećaršija, Gračanica, Devič, and the Prizren seminary.
"Is there a nation in the Western Balkans that has suffered more than ours in the past century, as well as in this century? And who has the right to remain silent among those who should speak, while we are simmering in the caracazan of genocide on the silent fire of the UN? They marked our church as an ideologue and the inspirer of the civil war in the former great country, and now it remains for them to put the seal of genocide on it in ten days, and send instructions on how from now on to write troparies, who should be mentioned in prayers and who should not be mentioned serve the funeral.
That's why I'm waiting for that voice of the first called, a cry, no matter what, just let it be heard, even if only to wake the ant from sleep, after which the ant would roar: 'Enough is enough'! Christ is Risen! Truly Risen," wrote Knežević.

"Let the symbolism of Easter, depicted in the words of our greatest poet - 'resurrection is not without death' - remind us that through facing life's difficulties, we understand more deeply and appreciate the values of peace, togetherness and solidarity. Only in this way will we be able to fight for a better and fairer humanity that we will leave as a legacy to future generations.

"Let the happiest day in the life of every Christian be a motive for us, that just as Christ overcame death and transience, together we overcome the restraints of division and viewing each other as opponents, not brothers, sisters and friends who share the fate of their country and children, and thus her certain progress, which can only come by working together on it, and the best contribution to this is the work of each individual on himself and on the future of his descendants!

"All our defeats and victories in this world cannot be compared to the Truth that Christ rose, defeated death and gave life to the dead in the graves. Our local Church has been spreading this Truth for more than eight centuries in this area, starting with Saint Sava and ending with today's archbishops on his throne and the thrones of our ancient dioceses. Those who almost five years ago started an attempt to destroy the Serbian Orthodox Church in Montenegro have still not given up on that plan, they continue to sow hatred and want to prevent the reconciliation of the people. But we must remain calm and with love have patience and strength to wait for the moment when that hatred will disappear. They are trying to hide the truth from us, to silence it, just as they are trying to prove that our Nikšić is someone else's city and not Saint Vasilij Ostroški. However, the truth always finds a way, and since last year Saint Vasilije Ostroški has formally become the glory of our city. Although it is only a symbolic confirmation of what the people have felt for a long time, there are those who rebel against it and who would like those forces of evil against whom we fought four years ago to be given the opportunity in Nikšić to continue their work against our Church and people. Nikšić answers them every May 12 with his magnificent Litany in honor of Saint Basil of Ostrog and the resurrected Christ, and it will be the same this year as well. "Nikšić has returned to his roots and can now more confidently step into a better future, giving everyone enough space to achieve their goals personally and professionally," Kovačević said.
He wished that "this great holiday gives everyone wisdom, patience and courage to stay healthy in body and spirit" and that "we persevere in the fight for those values that adorned our glorious ancestors."
