Krapović and Lazarević laid a wreath at the monument to the Partisan fighter: We pay tribute to millions of victims

Today we remember and pay tribute to the millions of victims who laid down their lives for the defense of humanity and who, with their struggle, wrote the historical pages of heroism, bravery and bravery in golden letters. It was on these timeless values, united in the ideal of freedom and anti-fascism, that the modern European idea was born, as one of the strongest guarantees of peace, stability and prosperity, said Defense Minister Dragan Krapović.

Krapović and the Chief of the General Staff of the Army of Montenegro, Brigadier General Zoran Lazarević laid a wreath at the monument to the Partisan fighter in Gorica on the occasion of May 9, the Day of Victory over Fascism, i.e. the Day of Europe.

This is stated, among other things, in the statement of the Ministry of Defense in which they added that Krapović, congratulating the citizens on behalf of the Ministry of Defense and the Army of Montenegro on this date, emphasized that our heroic ancestors were strongly grounded in that victory.

According to his words, emphasizing the heroic sacrifice of our ancestors, today with justification and pride, side by side with other European nations, we are talking about, as he said, our contribution, victory over fascism, building peace and preserving freedom.

"More than ever, in the world of world crises and turmoil, it is important to remember that great victory, to remind ourselves of the values ​​on which the European Union rests and to, like all these years until now, express deep respect for our ancestors as their the sacrifice would never be in vain, and peace and stability would be the only right path for contemporary Europe and the entire world," said Krapović.
