Asanović: Don't let the young people of Andrijev get caught up in the wave of betting shops

Danijela Asanović, a candidate for councilor of the election list "Decided, courageous, responsible - Andrijevica asks herself - SNP - Democratic Montenegro", said that young people from Andrijev should not be allowed to be "taken by the wave of betting shops", which "many have accepted as a lifestyle throughout Montenegro".

"There are more and more young people who start gambling very early, in the adolescent age. The researches that were conducted showed a surprising fact - as many as 70% of high school students have tried some form of gambling. Although there are legal regulations that clearly prescribe the distance of betting shops and gambling machines from of educational institutions, it turned out to be only a maneuver of those who participate properly in the implementation of the same," announced Asanović.

He says that the family, "as the basic cell of society and the main support for a young person", is the main "positive barrier in terms of psychological distancing and extinguishing the desire of a young man who, in his adolescent development, thinks that life is a game, and that money is easily acquired with a 'ticket' ".

"We must not allow the young people of Andrijev to be caught up in the wave of betting shops, which many have accepted as a lifestyle throughout Montenegro. Young people must recognize what real values ​​are, and therefore the only and correct way to make a profit," said Asanović, and stated :

"Through the joint cooperation of the institutions of the system and local self-government, we will create a healthier and better environment for young people, promote healthy lifestyles and point out every day the harmfulness of gambling, which largely destroys the lives of young people, but also of entire families. That's why I call on the institutions of the system to implement all the necessary measures prescribed by the law in order to keep children, adolescents and young people out of the danger that lurks at every corner.
