The government announced that on the occasion of May 21 - Independence Day, which is celebrated on May 21 and 22, non-working days will be Tuesday and Wednesday (May 21 and 22).
"State bodies, local self-government bodies, public institutions, public companies and other entities that perform activities of public interest are obliged to ensure the performance of work on holidays, the interruption of which could have harmful consequences for citizens or the state," the announcement states.
On May 21, 2006, Montenegro renewed its independence in a referendum.
