Interested parties will be able to submit applications for subsidies for the purchase of two-wheelers to the next public competition of the Capital City electronically, using an electronic identity card (eLK).

This was announced yesterday from the Capital City.

"The next public call for subsidies for the purchase of two-wheelers 'Podgorica on two wheels' will be implemented in such a way that all steps during the application procedure are carried out electronically by interested citizens. An important novelty compared to other electronic requirements will be the use of a new identity card, with which citizens also receive digital certificates necessary for electronic identification and electronic signature", they stated in the announcement.

The issuance of ID cards containing digital certificates was supposed to start on March 30, 2020, but due to the coronavirus, the Ministry of Internal Affairs started issuing new ID cards three months later. According to the Law on Amendments to the Law on Identity Cards, old identity cards are valid until March 30, 2025 at the latest.

"Given that the deadline for replacing old identity cards is approaching, the Capital City through this invitation wants to encourage citizens to do so as soon as possible, in order to be ready for electronic administration and the accelerated development of electronic services", announced the Capital City. .

To use eLK, when digital certificates are read from it, a reader is necessary. The capital city said that for this reason, in cooperation with the Ministry of Public Administration and UNDP, they provided these devices and will distribute them free of charge to all interested participants in the call for the purchase of two-wheelers.

As they added, the details of the public call will be published in due course.

E-services of the Capital City can be found in the e-Counter section, on the podgorica.me portal and directly at epodgorica.me.
