The parliamentary commission voted on the candidates for members of the Council of the Agency for the Prevention of Corruption (ASK), and will forward the list to the Anti-Corruption Committee.
According to unofficial information from "Vijesti", candidate Mladen Tomović received five votes, Dragana Šuković four, and Slavica Mirković two.
The commission previously organized interviews with these three candidates at the beginning of the week.
The board should decide on the two candidates with the highest number of votes.
If the list does not pass the Board, the process goes back to the beginning. If the deputies accept those two members, a new competition will be announced for the remaining three seats in the Council.
Tomović is a lawyer, and he was once the head of the Agency, assistant director, coordinator of the Sector for Prevention of Corruption, Integrity and Lobbying. His publicly available biography also states that he was the coordinator of the Directorate for Anti-Corruption Initiative, a member of the Working Group for the preparation of negotiations for Montenegro's entry into the European Union for Chapter 23, the head of the Secretariat of the National Commission for Monitoring the Implementation of the Strategy for the Fight Against Corruption and Organized Crime...
Šuković was the head of the Department for Verification of Income and Assets at the Agency for the Prevention of Corruption, and according to unofficial information from "Vijesti", she is employed at the Anti-Doping Commission.
Slavica Mirković is the secretary of the Committee for Political System, Justice and Administration in the Secretariat of the Committee for Political System, Justice and Administration.
Five more candidates applied for the Council member vacancy, however, the Commission assessed that they did not meet the requirements.
